Karla Monterroso
Karla is a licensed mental health counselor who supports individuals navigating anxiety, burnout, and emotional overwhelm. In her work, she helps clients explore the unhelpful patterns and beliefs that contribute to feeling stuck, with the goal of building resilience and practical skills for change. She is a fluent Spanish speaker and holds both an M.S. in General Psychology and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Her approach is relational and conversational. Clients can expect her to be an engaged and responsive collaborator who brings warmth and adaptability to each session, meeting them at their pace.
Much of Karla’s work focuses on serving anxious and highly sensitive people (HSP), parents of HSP’s, and adults navigating ADHD, Autism (ASD), and OCD. She welcomes clients who identify with these experiences, as well as those seeking a therapeutic space that balances supportive understanding with helpful, forward-moving feedback. The focus is on cultivating greater clarity, self-trust, and alignment in one’s life.
Using integrated, evidence-based approaches, she helps clients identify patterns in thoughts and behaviors, nervous system responses, and unmet needs. Her practice is built on a neurodiverse-affirming, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive framework. As a SFL native, Latina, and child of immigrants, she is deeply committed to providing care that honors each client’s unique identity and lived experience.
Karla is currently accepting new clients and via telehealth throughout Florida. She is in-network with most major insurance providers.
